Mahmut (Muzaffer Özdemir) is a successful Istanbul photographer, but has arrived at middle age divorced, disillusioned and uninspired. His fastidiously ordered and mostly solitary life in the city is upset by the arrival of his cousin Yusuf (Mehmet Emin Toprak), a country bumpkin from the home village Mahmut left behind years ago. Having promised his mother to let Yusuf stay with him until he can find a new job, Mahmut braces for a long winter of odd coupledom with his hapless cousin and his fruitless job search.
