The 10 films selected for the much anticipated National Feature Film Competition of the 59th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival have been unveiled. The Festival will be hosted by the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality from October 1-8, 2022 with the support of the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
Ten Films to Compete in National Feature Competition!
Forty-six productions were submitted this year to the National Feature Film Competition, which will be presenting Golden Orange Awards in 14 categories. The preselection committee, comprising Sevin Okyay, Mehmet Acar and Muammer Brav, has now drawn up a shortlist of 10 films, all of which will be premiering in Turkey at the 59th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival.
The competition line-up is as follows:
[*] Mirror, Mirror (Ayna Ayna) by Belmin Söylemez ;
A Hope (Bir Umut), directed by Ümit Köreken;
[*] Hollow (Bomboş) by Onur Ünlü;
A Woman Escapes (Gidiş O Gidiş), co-directed by Burak Çevik, Sofia Bohdanovicz and Blake Williams;
[*] Hollow (Bomboş) by Onur Ünlü;
[*] Hara, by Atalay Taşdiken;
[*] Iguana Tokyo by Kaan Müjdeci;
Snow and the Bear (Kar ve Ayı), by Selcen Ergun;
[*] Black Night (Karanlık Gece) by Özcan Alper;
Burning Days (Kurak Günler) by Emin Alper;
[*] RSVP (Please Respond) (LCV [Lütfen Cevap Veriniz]), co-directed by İsmet Kurtuluş and Kaan Arıcı.
[*] World Premiering at the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival.
The competition jury will award a total of TL 840 thousand in prize money across the 14 categories.
