Turkey LEEDs in 6th Place

Mavi Boncuk |

Turkey is a leading country in building LEED-certified projects.
Earlier this year, USGBC released the Top 10 Countries for LEED, featuring Turkey, for the third year in a row, with 245 LEED-certified projects and 6.15 million certified gross square meters. At Greenbuild Europe in Berlin, we recognized some of the companies behind this incredible work.

Behind every LEED project is a team of professionals responsible for ushering the project through the certification process. They are architects, consultants, designers and other professionals—and their expertise is driving change in the built environment.

Their LEED Platinum headquarters, the ERKE Green Academy Building in Istanbul, serves as a showcase for the potential role that green materials and sustainable systems can play.
