Turkish actresses Şerif Sezer and Şebnem Bozoklu, American film critic Elvis Mitchell, and Bosnian cinematographer Mirsad Herović, known for his work on numerous hit Turkish movies, including the Cem Yılmaz comedy “Yahşi Batı” (The Ottoman Cowboys), will be on the panel judging domestic competition entrants at this year's Antalya International Film Festival, organizers announced Friday.
They will be joined by art director Naz Erayda, whose credits include Semih Kaplanoğlu's international award-winning Yusuf Trilogy, and scriptwriter Tarık Tufan (who co-penned director Mahmut Fazıl Coşkun's “Wrong Rosary” and “Yozgat Blues”), in the national feature-length film competition jury, which will be chaired by director, producer and scriptwriter Ömer Vargı.
The festival also announced its seven-member international feature competition jury on Thursday night. Oscar-nominated Icelandic director Fridrik Thor Fridriksson will be chairing the panel, which will also include “Twilight” director Catherine Hardwicke and screenwriter Carl Gottlieb, best known for his work on “Jaws.” Belgian director Dominique Deruddere and Romanian actress Anamaria Marinca (“4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days”) are also on the panel.
