Venice 72 Hopes for Guney's "Umut"

Mavi Boncuk |This year’s Venice Film festival will see the re-screening of  Turkish award-winner Yilmaz Guney’s 1970-movie Umut [Hope] at the Venice Classics section, a world premiere selection of restored films.

Another prominent Turkish director, Nuri Bilge Ceylan -- who won the 2014 Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival -- will be a jury member at this festival.
