Turkish Airline is a High Flyer

Most global airlines have had a tough few years, but Turkish Airlines has never made so much money. While the others were cutting routes, Turkish Airlines loaded them on, with 19 new destinations—including Washington DC, Los Angeles; Toulouse, France; Basra, Iraq; and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam—on the menu for this year alone. The airline has talked about buying the Polish and Serbian carriers, LOT and Jat, though a company statement says the board has yet to make a decision. And Chief Executive Temel Kotil says this is just the start.
