1. Asfalya (Egean dialect) circuit breaker from Greek asfalía ασφαλία secure, security, insurance; Old Greek asphalēsασφαλης safe,secure, unfalling an+ sphállōσφάλλω to drop, trip. [1] Used in the expression "Kafamin asfalyasi atti/ I lost my mind, I got really angry".

2.TR şalter from German Schalter switch, circuit breaker. Used for a theaters box office: “Şalter dokuz buçukta açıldı.” -H. Taner. indicating the time the billboard lights are lit before the box office is open. In the old buildings electricty was always turned off from the panel as a precaution against accidental electrical fires.
