There were Salem gold, Salem selection, Salem Lucullus and Salem No.6. Former GDR starting from 1947 also produced Salem : Salem yellow and Salem red. Nowadays The “Yenidze tobacco and cigarette factory GmbH Hamburg” produces the Salem No. 6, a filterless cigarette. This mark belongs to Reemtsma, and The R.J. Reynolds Tobacco company introduced Salem [1] Menthol - filter cigarettes and another Turkish style cigarette, Camel [2] to the world as US brands.
