I Bet you Did Not Know that what was originally known as "Silahtar Ağa Sahası", later during 1900s "Papazın Çayırı" eventually in 1908 as "Union Club Sahası/Field" and before the Republic "İttihat Spor Sahası", and in 1929 "Fenerbahçe Stadı" was purchased by paying 1 Turkish lira to Milli Emlak İdaresi by Fenerbahçe Soccer Club in July 6, 1932.
Lookslike nobody wants to get Fenerbahce even than. Later, a new contract was forwarded to the club for 9000 lira. The founder of the Turkish Republic, Mustafa Kemal paid 500 lira to help the club and lottery tickets of 50 kurus (half lira) took care of the rest.
