Ottoman Armies | Campaigns of Great War

Turkish troops fought on many fronts of the war and most of their campaigns were efforts to protect their own territory. Given the size of the Empire, this was not an easy task. From the blue waters of the Dardanelles to the dry deserts of the Sinai; from the freezing cold of the Caucasus to the burning heat of Mesopotamia, Turkish forces covered miles in a futile attempt to protect the integrity of the Empire. Turkish troops also served on the European Eastern Front, where, in Romania, Macedonia and Galicia, they fought to support the war efforts of the Central Powers.

Campaigns:

Caucasus
Gallipoli
Palestine/Sinai/Syria
Mesopotamia
Galicia/Romania/Macedonia
Hejaz/Asir/Yemen
Persia
Libya
