Word Origin | Esrar, Marijuana

Recently the terrorist organization PKK/KCK 's largest sources of funding for the drug operation, was held in Diyarbakir. Drug cultivation, breeding and processing areas, as for the first light of dawn began operation, nearly 150 tons of cannabis fields in the first place was dismantled and destroyed. Lets have a look at the mystery behind this. Esrar. Let me sort this as a word origin.

Known as Hashish world over from Arabic word 'Grass/Ot'. However in Turkish this word is used for the drug known as  "haşhaş" and the product is afyon TR "poppy EN (Papaver somniferum), opium".[1] 


Turkish expression: ota boka para vermek/ (pay for grass and shit) waste money. In this case the ot/grass is meant for drugs. 
 

Shadow dried Cannabis Sativa/Cannabis Indica seeds with high resin containing THC (Δ9-Tetrahidrokannabinol) was sieved and the fine particles are called  "toz esrar"[2], if heated into sheets becomes "takoz esrar" or if sieved thrugh silk was considered the highest quality esrar called kubar.

ESRAR: derman, lahana dolması, ot, plaka, mühür, sarıkız, anten, sarma, paspal, gıya, gogo, gonca, kuru, cigara, cigaralık, deli gonca, ahna, henry, patates, keçi, yeşil, kendir, elek altı, siyah, saddam, kenevir, jelatin, mal, çıkı, mayın, sarı çiçek, sündüz, cam macunu, kına, kuriş, mum, dalgaot, cigaralık, derman, tek/çift kâğıtlı, gogo. 


EROIN: peynirbeyazkaşar.


MORFIN [3]hayalperest, cevher, sert cevher, amerikan kelebeği, matmazei emma, maymun
