Palić FF Award | Beyond the Hill

Mavi Boncuk |The International Jury of the 19 European Film Festival Palić held at Palić, Subotica, Serbia, 14 – 20 July 2012, composed of members: Ms. MIRA FURLAN (Croatia/ US), actress – President of the Jury, Mr. AHMET BOYACIOGLU (Turkey), producer, director, Ms. ALEXANDRA DAHLSTRÖM (Sweden), actress, director, writer, Ms. GABRIELE KRANZELBINDER (Austria), producer, Mr. BOJAN Ž. BOSILJČIĆ (Serbia/Canada), publicist, journalist and film critic has upon viewing the Official Competition Selection of 14 films made the following decisions: 

GOLDEN TOWER FOR THE BEST FILM goes to BEYOND THE HILL directed by Emin Alper. “The film shows how easy it is to create an enemy out of our inability to face our own problems and prejudices. Using the microcosm of family relationships the film becomes a metaphor for the creation of war. With its effective simplicity the film achieves the dimension of a classical Greek tragedy.”
