
Mavi Boncuk |Nuh and Ahmet Eskiyapan(yapili) brothers and Kemal Yurtbilir started a dry goods store in Ulus Ankara in 1940. In response to demand they started their own poduction of pasta. "Ankara Makarna" was renamed in 1961 as "Nuh’un Ankara Makarnası" in tribute to its founder Nuh Eskiyapılı.
Today, the Nuh'un Ankara Makarnasi is one of the biggest and most modern factories in the world. The mills processing durum wheat in Sincan produces 10.000 tons of semolina a month. The brands produced by the Nuhun Ankara Makarnasi are being exported under well known international brand names. They created Veronelli brand with dressing, as the first and only local brand of this segment in the market. Another brand of the family since 1975 is Elif.
